Flower Market in my Studio

Flowers are such a big part of my decorating style .
I'm sure that none of you will be surprised to find out that I have a big stash of faux flowers on hand to make all the floral designs you see through out my home.

I have all my faux flowers right  smack dab in the middle of my studio since I use them in almost every vignette,  tablescape,  well almost anywhere you see me styling in our home.

I have all my flowers that are not in use poked into a big Christmas tree.     I've used this method of organizing them for years and so far have not found a better way to do it.

I would say that since roses are my favorite flower I probably have more of them than any other flower.      Right now all of the spring flowers are being stored in the Christmas tree.       I have lots of tulips.......almost all of them are pink.

Here are some of the tulips I used to make a floral design in the entry last spring.......

Behind the Christmas tree,    is the area where I have a desk that I construct my floral designs on.......I'll share that area in an upcoming post.

I don't really have specific areas that I store certain flowers on the tree,    but  I do try to keep flowers that are alike together.      Here's where the pink sunflowers are.....for now......lol!

I love working with the pink sunflowers and you have seen me use them in every room in the house.      Here they are at Thanksgiving in the entry ........

And here they are on the mantel in the master bedroom.

Blue roses?

Sure there are blue roses,    and I've used them in more designs than I can count!

I have a few big flowers.........

Here they are one year on the piano "mantel"...........

Here's the big rose that I had in the Easter vignette on the mantel you just saw.

Here's where the big sunflowers are stored on the tree.

And here they were in a vignette last year........

When I need a wreath for a season or holiday,     I just come out to the studio and make one up!

I think I have a least a few flowers in every color on the tree.

I have a chandelier that hangs to the side of the tree and floods my work area with light.......

I have containers to put my designs in on a shelf above my work desk........

I have baskets under the tree to use in my floral designs.......

I have another stack of baskets under the tree on the back side of it.

Hydrangea's...........what can I say........I love them almost as much as I do roses.

I have some long stemmed hydrangea's that I came across in a local shop several years ago......

I had them in a rusty pot on the porch last spring,       In the past,    I  have used them to make garlands and even tree's

They photograph so pretty........doesn't this photo I took on the front porch last spring make you long for spring to hurry up and get here!!!!!!

Well,    my flower market in the studio does not have fresh flowers in it,    but it is full of the next best thing!

I enjoyed your visit so much today,   please come back again soon!

  3. Hi Di, I've found those the last two years in the fall at Michaels. The first year, the flowers had a dark center and last year they had a sparkly gold center.....hugs...
