I started my tablescape with flowers. I collect dishes, so I did a different setting at each place...all mismatched but with the same theme... FLOWERS! |
Vintage bone plate and desert rose salt and pepper shakers. |
I decided to use little word cards instead of the usual name card. These glasses belonged to my grandmother. She bought them to go with her desert rose dishes. |
Did I mention that I love flowers. I used three of these containers for my tablescape. I have a collection of milk glass, love it! |
I didn't have any placemats on hand..can you believe that???...so I had been working on some paper flowers yesterday...and wa la !! Cut some sewing patterns up and used them for placemats!! |
As you can see, this area is flooded with natural light! I love the light, but it is very hard to get a good picture! |
Crystal salt and pepper shakers under a cloche. |
My napkins are doilies and the holder is a glittery crown that I purchased in the wedding isle at Hobby Lobby.. I used some vintage silver trays as chargers. |
Plate and cup display on the wall. |
I had this piece of stained glass in the guest bedroom... hardly ever went there! So, I moved it to the dining room where we can enjoy it! |
This is my old buffet that I store some of my dishes in. |
And to finish off the dinner, cake!!! Before I started my tablescape, I went and looked at some blogs that host parties each week to get ideas! I noticed that they usually told where everything was purchased at the end of the post. I cannot really do that as most of my stuff was given to me, purchased at yard sales and auctions, or hand made by me! I will be joining the following parties: http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/ http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com/ http://www.homestoriesatoz.com/ http://myuncommonsliceofsuburbia.com /http://www.primpjunktion.com/ http://faithgracecrafts.blogspot.com /http://thetablescaper.blogspot.com/ |
