Junkin'

We drove over to Amarillo Texas Saturday to eat lunch and go to a few yard sales...lol....a few you say?.....they had 65 sales advertised in the news paper and there are always tons of signs along the major streets advertising yard sales.   Needless to say,  we didn't get around to all of them!

I have been looking for a pair of pointe shoes forever.     I did find a pair back around Christmas in an antique store but they  were way out of my price range.   I was so excited to find not one but two pair.    

I have been finding a chandy almost every week end....this three armed one was only $5 but I think I can transform it into something pretty.   I think I will ditch the three gold globes...may use them in  a yard art piece.

I was thinking on one of the arms  I could turn a pretty vase upside down and top it with a saucer and a chintz coffee cup to fill with bird seed.....all found Saturday at the yard sales.

and  maybe glue my pretty new mosaic birdhouse  onto the arm.......what could I put on the third arm?

I found two vintage suit cases and some glittered wooden wedding letters.    Did I mention that our daughter is getting married later this year?  
  I'm a sucker for pretty books, and I picked up this one and the TK you saw pictured with my ballet shoes.

What caught my eye as we were driving around to the yard sales?....these huge sunflowers!   I bet they were 10 feet tall and the blooms were at least 12 inches across....just gorgeous!
