| I relocated the cuckoo clock birdhouses from the sunroom to the family room to create a mantle that would last from late spring all the way thru summer. |

| My spring/summer mantle begins with a fun banner...... |

| I added some sweet paper birds to the banner...... |

| I used double sided tape to attach the paper birds..... |
 |
| The birds are easy and fun to make. |
 |
| My cuckoo clock birdhouses were assembled from several boxes of "parts" that were purchased at the auction |

| H just put the houses together like a puzzle! |
 |
| So, each birdhouse is unique..... |
 |
| When I moved the chairs that were on each side of the fireplace to the front, it left a big hole. I found that two white round tables filled that hole perfectly...lol! |
 |
| This side got a new lamp....well, new to me! Our daughter wasn't using it anymore, so she gave it to me. The lamp base was gold until H sprayed it white this morning....sorry, he is so quick I didn't get a "before" photo. |
 |
| I put a set of cats on each side of the fireplace to keep all the birds on the mantle in check....lol! |
 |
| My new lamp didn't come with a shade, so I covered a shade that I had with a ruffled skirt for a quick fix! |
 |
| I've packed away all the Easter bunnies in the family room, but I am still enjoying my bunny fairy garden on the coffee table, so I'm gong to leave it out for a while. |
 |
| Today, I am giving the kitchen a new spring/summer look...... |
 |
| Then all I have left to pack away is the Easter in the entry! |

Any chance of you sharing pattern/how-to for those paper birds Penny? I love birds and love to find new patterns, ideas to make them. Use them for decorations in several different ways.

Sounds like your hubs is nicely accommodating for making things for you, be glad as mine has to argue over every little idea I get. He does not have my vision, lol.
