Cow Picture, Enamelware, and Milk Glass

I created a vignette in the kitchen this morning using some of my favorite Farmhouse stuff........ enamelware,  cows,  and cow's milk......milk glass that is...lol!

How fun is this Farmhouse style vignette

Before.................................After

The centerpiece of my Farmhouse vignette is a framed canvas cow  print.     I've been hunting for a cow head print for a long time,   but all that I found had very bright colors.    I came across this one while in Hobby Lobby yesterday....and it was half price...$15.
I used a strip of fabric to tie my picture to the old chippy twin size foot board that is hung in the center of the  pass thru between the kitchen a family dining room.
I sat a long "Old Farmers Market" piece of enamelware below my cow picture.    I filled my market bin with flowers and shabby chic eggs.

I have my collection of milk glass displayed in the lit cabinet in the family dining room,   so all I didn't even have to leave home to do my shopping for the new vignette.

My shabby chic eggs are left over from the Easter display that I had here earlier.     I think they work with my farmhouse decor,  so I didn't pack them away with the other Easter decor.

Here's a close up of the mini vignette on the other side of the cow picture.

I used all hob nail milk glass in my new vignette.

I have a fun piece of enamelware on the left end of the counter .....

This is such a versatile piece.......it stands alone or can be hung.     It can be filled with all kinds of things.....you're only limited by your imagination.

Ky was in the family room coloring while I was putting this post together.     I wanted to show how you can use magnets to display works of art that your kids  lovingly make for you!    Ky really fussed at me for showing her art before she's finished.

I have enamelware cow platter on the hoosier.

Isn't this a fun platter!

The kitchen is decorated for summer now!

I almost forgot to show you the flip side of the pass thru.
The duck print that you saw in the "before" photo found a new home on the flip side of the pass thru.....lol!    I used a vintage  sewing machine drawer as an easel for my print.    The rabbit print is still in limbo,   but I'm sure it will find a home soon!

  9. Your cow painting makes me smile, and the hob nail milk glass reminds me of some pieces that my mother had. One of my nieces took her milk glass collection. I was glad that it stayed as a collection and that she was interested.
