Buffalo Check Rag Wreath & a Peek at my Work Space

To get the biggest bang for my buck,   I use rag wreaths and garlands a lot when decorating our home.

For my Buffalo rag wreath I used a Dollar Tree wreath form,     less than half of a $2
yard sale white sheet,    and about a half yard of trending buffalo check fabric that I  bought on sale at Hobby Lobby.

I already had the pink roses and pink and white buffalo check ribbon on hand.     I found the pink & white ribbon at Michael's a couple of years ago and have used it over and over again in different projects.   Wish they would stock it again!

To make my wreath,    I tore strips of fabric about an inch and a half wide and 36"s long.      I simply tied my fabric onto the wire form....and then tied a big bow.

I have to admit that rag wreaths and garlands can be pretty time consuming.......

I save those kinds of projects for when I'm sitting at my work space in the evenings.

Yep,   this white leather recliner is where I do a lot of my work.

I edit and write all my posts from this chair......

I even have my printer under one of the end tables......and yes I need two end tables to hold all my work "stuff"    If you follow my blog posts,    you already know that I love to make banners.     I am able to print my pieces off and assemble my banners on my cutting board......all from my recliner.

I have a trash can,   kleenex,  and a cutting board in my work space.    I use the cutting board like a lap tray.......I've even been known to eat my supper on it....lol!

I can even watch TV from my chair while I work on hand projects.

I have been amazed at how much work I can get done from my small work space.....

  4. I especially like the pillow with the buffalo check cow on it. Where did you get the pattern? I am quite into cow collecting lately and would love to make something similar.

  6. It's not the size of the crafting space Penny, but what you can do in it.... and it sounds like you have everything you need right there. How perfect.

  9. Penny,
I love that you consider your work space the area in and around your recliner!! That is great!! I download pictures to my main tower computer and then I edit them and load them to my blog and then I do my editing of my posts using my lap top which I either sit with in the Living Room or out in the Den if Joe is watching hockey or football.....
    Hugs,
    Deb
