Spring Chicken

I am using lavender and mixing in other soft colors to decorate the entry for spring this year.

Welcome to my home..........

The coat rack is the first thing you see when you come in the front door.

The centerpiece for the coat rack is a spring chicken that has made her nest in a  metal cake pedestal.

Below her nest,   you'll find a pair of pink birds and a big lavender egg

I didn't know if a carrot tree would fit in with my Spring chicken centerpiece ,    but when I Googled  "does a chicken eat carrots"   I found out that they do!      They also like other garden veggies.....like,   kale,  cabbage,  cauliflower,  and also several fruits    WHO KNEW??????

On the bottom shelf of the coat rack,    I have a white metal rooster,  a metal barn,   and a umbrella with a gorgeous spring print.

I also hung a lavender wreath on the coat closet........

Want to see what's behind the pink and cream buffalo check doors?

It's the formal living /  dining room.       I am in the process of making some changes to this room,   and hope I am finished in time to add some spring decor to it.     If I run out of time,   Easter is late this year so maybe then!

I decorated this wall in the entry a couple of days ago.......

Here's a link to that post in case you missed it..........http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/02/lavender-farm-french-farmhouse-goose.html

  4. Penny, I love the hen. She looks like a hen my sister made that had a brick inside to be used as a doorstop. Yours is so beautiful and brings the feeling of Spring.
I am so ready for warm weather. We have had so much cold this month that the State of Colorado has a new record low for month of February.
Thanks for cheering me up with all your Spring things.
