I made this wreath a few years ago and it is one of my favorites.
|
|
This year I have hung it in the family room over the sofa |
|
You can see the formal dining room thru my window "wall" |
|
Last Christmas I hung my pastel wreath in the entry above the Nutcracker vignette |
|
I had to do some repairs on my wreath this year, so I had an opportunity to add some lights. |
|
Since some of the balls had come unglued from each other, I was able to hide the wires behind them and then glue the balls back together again. . |
|
The Christmas that I made this wreath, I hung it in the sun room. It wasn't until the next Christmas that I added some Ballet ornaments to it to use it with my Nutcracker vignette. |
I can enjoy the wreath from my chair......this photo was actually taken while I was sitting in my chair...lol

I have had several requests to do a tutorial on how to make one of these wreaths......sorry, I hate to do tutorials! BUT...I have taken several up close photos that might be able to help you if you want to make an ornament wreath for your Christmas decorating |
Always an inspiration to visit You.You go with what You love and that alone is inspiration.I have a mix that I love lately and haven't found out how to combine them.I love pastel with emphasis on dusty lavender but I love just as much..... Woodsy.I would love to see someone combine these. I adore the lace hanging from the wreath.Blessings across the miles and Merry Christmas-Denise
ReplyDeleteI adore vintage Christmas items especially ornaments and the ribbon is so beautiful. My granddaughter made a wreath for me this year from pages of book, my favorite author Beatrix Potter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vintage wreath Penny and I love those adorable ballet slipper lights - where on earth did you find them?
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, I found those lights on clearance last year at a shop in Lubbock Texas....Hollands Nursery. Here's a link to a post that I did showing some photos of Hollands that I took last Saturday when we were there......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2014/11/sites-of-season.html
DeleteWhat a pretty wreath! I bought some vintage glass ball ornaments at the thrift shop last year. I should try to do something like this with them. Your post is inspirational!
ReplyDeleteI was at Hobby Lobby this week and I saw some great items like this. I hope to add some of these in my pink room.
ReplyDeleteI just took a picture of my ornie wreath. But mine was a gift to me! Your wreath is sweet with the ballet slippers.
ReplyDeleteThe ballet slippers in the wreath are fairy! The wreath is fantastic.

I just love your vintage ornament wreath and the lights add a special glow to it. Your whole house is so ready for Christmas :) Jo
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful wreath and the window wall you hung it on. I have a vintage ornament wreath I made years ago and it's still one of my favorite decorations even though it needs a little TLC every year.
