Vintage Ornament Wreath

I made this wreath a few years ago and it is one of my favorites.

This year I have hung it in the family room over the sofa

You can see the formal dining room thru my window "wall"

Last Christmas I hung my pastel wreath in the entry above the Nutcracker vignette

I had to do some repairs on my  wreath this year,  so I had an opportunity to add some lights.

Since some of the balls had come unglued from each other,  I was able to hide the wires behind them and then glue the balls back together again.    .

The Christmas that I made this wreath,  I hung it in the sun room.   It wasn't until the next Christmas that I added some Ballet ornaments to it to use it with my Nutcracker vignette.

I can enjoy the wreath from my chair......this photo was actually taken while I was sitting in my chair...lol

I have had several requests to do a tutorial on how to make one of these wreaths......sorry,   I hate to do tutorials!   BUT...I have taken several up close photos that might be able to help you if you want to make an ornament wreath for your Christmas decorating

You can see my Library ladder to the left of the sofa.....all decked out for Christmas.   If you missed that post....here is the link      http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2014/11/thomas-kinkade-christmas-santas.html

  2. I adore vintage Christmas items especially ornaments and the ribbon is so beautiful. My granddaughter made a wreath for me this year from pages of book, my favorite author Beatrix Potter.

    1. Hi Marie, I found those lights on clearance last year at a shop in Lubbock Texas....Hollands Nursery. Here's a link to a post that I did showing some photos of Hollands that I took last Saturday when we were there......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2014/11/sites-of-season.html

  10. Love your beautiful wreath and the window wall you hung it on. I have a vintage ornament wreath I made years ago and it's still one of my favorite decorations even though it needs a little TLC every year.
