Fall Fairy Garden

I am adding fall touches to existing decor in the sun room to simplify my seasonal decorating.    It only took about an hour to change my fairy garden from summer to fall for under $40.

On the left is the before photo.
I replaced the welcome  sign above the buffet with a Happy Fall sign.   (the fall sign is from Michael's)      I replaced the white fencing with wood fencing. (fencing is from HL Christmas section)     The tea pot fairy house was replaced by a rustic pumpkin.  My fairy garden is built in a vintage guitar case that you can see a little better in the before photo.

All the items that I took out were used to make another fairy garden on the other side of the sun room.    Here is the link to that post ...... http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2015/09/fall-wreath-and-fairy-garden.html

I used fall flowers and leaves that I purchased a long time ago

The rustic pumpkin came from Target...

The twine wrapped mushrooms are Christmas ornaments from Tuesday Morning.....

This cute little squirrel has loaded his wheelbarrow  with acorns.   (acorns and squirrel from HL )

The small white pumpkins are repurposed  salt and pepper shakers from Stein Mart

I wasn't compensated in any way for mentioning where my fall items were purchased,   I just wanted to let you know where you could find them for your fall decorating.

I will add a some touches of Halloween in a few weeks......and then....I will have so much fun making a Christmas fairy garden!

  1. So sweet, I love the squirrel and his horde. Our front porch seems to be squirrel central right now...with them so busy trying to hide the walnuts. Cute post, thanks for sharing, Sandi

  8. Attempting to leave a comment as it did not work before. I am thinking of making a little fairy garden area in mine outdoors. I had gnome homes in the gardens at my old house.

  12. So cute Penny! I painted some little thrift find pumpkins orange today to go in my outdoor fairy garden. It's in a wheel barrow and a couple of weeks ago I spied a cute 'Happy Halloween' sign in Joanne's on sale. I bought it and am just adding a few Halloween touches. I love the target pumpkin and the cute squirrel! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
