I am starting the tour of my Farmhouse kitchen decorated for fall by introducing you to the barn cats.....they are quite the "mousers"....lol! |
Come on in the kitchen and sit a spell...... |
For the most part, I just added touches of fall to the existing decor Pumpkins around the roosters..... |
Pumpkins in the nest...... |
The pink shutters repurposed as a back splash are new to the kitchen.......here's the link to that post in case you missed it http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/08/4-ways-to-decorate-with-shutters.html |
I switched some of the decor on the counters to give the kitchen a fresh look for fall. |
I added some simple fall touches to the existing vignette on this counter..... |
I added a rag bow around the smaller piggy's neck, nested a small glittery pumpkin in a bouquet of flowers and placed little larger white pumpkin next to the small piggy. |
I purchased this hand painted window at a yard sale over the week end and H was sweet enough to get it hung in the kitchen window for me. If you missed my post about the treasures I found at the sales over the week end, here's a link to it....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/08/weekend-treasure-hunt_28.html |
This is the last counter decorated for fall in my farmhouse kitchen. |
I Pennyfied my ceramic hen and chicks by adding a few rag bows and some pink roses. |
I placed some shabby chic pumpkins next to the existing roosters. |
Penny,

Hugs,

It's just so stinking pretty Penny! I absolutely love those pretty pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink stools in the kitchen. I've been wanting to get two stools, but hadn't thought of painting them pink, only thinking of pink fabric on the seat. Will start watching for at yard sales, thrift stores and estate sales. I have a question I hope you will answer. Did you make the shabby chic pumpkins? Never seen them before. If you did, what did you use for the stem? Or did you just cover a typical orange pumpkin? I haven't decorate for inside in the fall before, but these are perfect. Will also use some of your other ideas. You are such an inspiration and just my style! Hugs & Love! Janine (Harrisburg, PA)
ReplyDeleteHi Janine, Thank you for the sweet comment on my post. My pumpkins are made with a circle of fabric, then I weight them with rice and stuff them with polyfill. My stems are real dried pumpkin stems that I dry brushed with white paint. I always save the stem from my pumpkins each year before I throw them away at the end of the season. hugs...
DeleteThanks for your response. Anxious to make the pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteSmart idea saving pumpkin stems for other times. "Now why didn't I think of that" moment, lol. How do you keep your home so tidy and do all you do Penny?
ReplyDeleteEverything looks really pretty. Would love to have ceramic chicken with chicks under her wings. Enjoy holiday weekend
Penny your kitchen is delightful!! I love the pink.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. Pinning. :)
Love the piggies and the chicks! What a fun kitchen!
ReplyDeleteYou have a magnificent kitchen! Stopping by from the Throwback Thursday link-up.
ReplyDeleteIf I walked into your house I would probably just come to a standstill and gawk trying to take it all in, lol! Love the piggies and those pink stools. My grandma had a full on pink kitchen; it was all the rage back in the 50's!!! Of course that was a different style but seeing those stools reminded me of her!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at Throwback Thursday!
