Spring Decor in the Family Room

Today,   I wanted to share how I have started to decorate the family room for spring

The first thing I did was take down the floral garland over the arched window that you see in the first photo.    Then,   I  took down the round mirrors that were hanging  on the vintage doors and replaced them with pretty spring floral pictures.

I strung a bunny garland across the front of the arched window and hung a pretty spring print over the garland

I wanted to give you a close up of the ICanvas prints that I have hung on the doors.

Here's the other print......

I changed the pillows on the sofa to some with a more Springy look.      Do we sit on the sofa with all these pillows on it....of course not!   That wouldn't be very comfy would it.     On a normal day,   I only have the two buffalo print pillows on each end of the sofa.

Normal day....................................................Photo day

Where do all the pillows go?

They are easily stored on the end table next to the sofa.

Next I added some fresh spring flowers to the room......

I put a pot of pansy's in a coffee cup and set it it in the vignette on this end of the sofa.    I bought my pots of pansy's at Home Depot for $1.37 each.....can't beat that for a inexpensive way to add fresh flowers to  your room!

I don't hesitate to combine fresh flowers with silk ones......I think it looks great!

I have a simple spring design on the coffee table.      Mirror,  wire cloche,  a little lamb.....

and another pot of fresh pansy's.....

I have the love seat decorated in a similar style.    Those big pillows on each end get moved over to the sofa when I get ready to lay down for a little nap....lol!

You may recognize the two floral designs sitting on the floor next to the love seat.

If you missed my tutorial on how to style the tiered stand on the end table,   here is a link to that post.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/03/tips-on-how-to-style-tiered-stand-for.html

If you missed the post where I showed how to make the basket on the floor....here is a link to it.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/03/make-basket-of-fresh-flowers.html

I did a tablescape with the Jackalope's and blue bunny plates about a week ago.    Do you ever wonder what happens to all the dishes and centerpieces after dinner is over......they are used in a different way somewhere else in the house.   If you missed my tablescape post.....click here.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/02/jackalopes-and-spring-blossoms.html

I plan to decorate the mantle for spring next week....be back soon to show you how that turned out!

Just keep it coming, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say "we love it"! And if you don't mind me asking, where can I find information about ICanvas? Sincerely, Regina
